Mobil 1 Dream Car Speed Run

The World’s Greatest Cars at Speed

The wide variety of cars from most of the brands including Classic, Muscle, Sports, Exotics, Race, Hyper Cars and New Manufacturer Models.  The Mobil 1 Dream Car Speed Run provides attendees with a visceral experience to see, hear and watch these cars in motion on our 2 Km track.  Every car has a clean run and the safety of a closed racetrack as many of these vehicles are irreplaceable.

Drive Festival is providing owners and manufacturers with a safe place to show them.  Please note that attendees will not be driving these vehicles on the Mobil 1 Dream Car Speed Run. These iconic cars are being driven by their experienced owners, or professional performance drivers, individually at the speed they choose. If you like attending static car shows you will LOVE Drive Festival.

Aviva Ovation Paddock

The Aviva Ovation Paddock is one of the most anticipated features of the event. All weekend long, exotic and iconic cars will be on display and staged in this area before/after their turn on The Mobil 1 Dream Car Speed Run.

mclaren P1

Limited to only 375 cars, the P1 was designed, engineered and built to be the best driver’s car in the world.

The McLaren P1 follows in the footsteps of the iconic McLaren F1, the car that pushed boundaries further than any of its rivals.
McLaren introduced the carbon fibre chassis to the world of Formula 1 in 1981 with the MP4/1, and again in the first carbon road car.
It’s fair to say, the technology carried in the P1 is closer to the complexity of an aircraft than a conventional car – everything is focused on putting the driver at the heart of the dynamic experience.  Active aerodynamics that maximize downforce and reduce drag, and the RCC (RaceActive Chassis Control) system gives the chassis unprecedented adjustability.
The mid-mounted twin-turbo V8 engine is derived from the 12C, but with significant differences. A unique block to incorporate the IPAS electric motor, and new larger high-pressure turbochargers push the V8 to an already astonishing 737PS, but working in conjunction with the electric motor it pushes the powertrain’s combined output to a jaw dropping 916PS.

Bugatti Chiron

The CHIRON is the fastest, most powerful, and exclusive production super sports car in BUGATTI’s history. Its sophisticated design, innovative technology, and iconic, performance-oriented form make it a unique masterpiece of art, form and technique, that pushes boundaries beyond imagination.

At the heart of the CHIRON is a quad-turbocharged 8L W16 engine. This unique masterpiece generates an incredible 1,500 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque, with an almost linear power output between 2,000 and 6,000 rpm. Four high-performing turbochargers work in a two-stage controlled configuration, and define this champion of performance. A remarkable 60,000 litres of air are pumped through the engine every minute. Simultaneously, 800 liters of water per minute circulate through the CHIRON’s heart, and guarantee the cooling of the engine and generate the extraordinary power. The new titanium exhaust system, with reduced gas back pressure, boosts this performance further. To maximize the CHIRON’s engine power, lightweight materials, such as titanium and carbon fiber, have been used wherever possible.

Performance numbers are staggering, with Hybrid Power 2.88 Litre Twin-turbo V8 @950 hp / 300 hp electric, total 1,250 hp @ 10,500rpm, 0 – 100 kph (62 mph) 1.9s, producing 638kg downforce at 161 kph, and a top speed of 405 kph.

mclaren artura

Underpinned by the McLaren philosophy of super-lightweight engineering, the all-new Artura is the distillation of every attribute inherent in a McLaren – distinctive design, unrivalled performance, dynamic excellence and engineering innovation – with electrification now bringing the additional benefits of even faster throttle response, lower emissions and being able to run in pure EV mode for emissions-free journeys of up to 30km. This is the debut of the new McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). At the heart of the Artura’s powertrain is McLaren’s all-new, 2,993cc twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine, working in harmony with the Artura’s compact axial flux E-motor. Smaller and more power-dense than a conventional radial flux E-motor. Exhilarating off-the-line’ performance sees the Artura achieve 0-100km/h in just 3.0 seconds, with 0-200km/h taking 8.3 seconds and 0-300km/h just 21.5 seconds.

1972 mclaren m8e/f papaya factory livery

The Canadian American Challenge Cup series was a unique experiment in almost complete freedom of design. So often in motorsports, strict limitations are imposed, but in the case of Can Am, just about anything went. Engines could be any displacement or design, with forced induction, outlandish aerodynamic aids, and even four-wheel drive permitted. The resulting cars. were very wild, and very fast, faster than even the contemporary Formula One cars, in fact McLaren`s own efforts were very successful in the series, amassing more victories than any other manufacturer (43) by the time the series ended in 1974. Their tremendous success began with their first monocoque car, the M6A of 1967. This car evolved into the M8A with the addition of a big block motor for 1968, and the M8B and M8D with further refinements for 1969 and 1970 respectively. The M8F was the ultimate development (aside from a pair of M20`s which were factory cars only and not available to the public) of McLaren`s successful Can Am cars, and featured a lengthened and strengthened chassis, 17 inch wide rear wheels, and revised aerodynamics. The intake stacks were staggered to smooth out the power delivery, and the combined effect of the 1520 pound curb weight and 8.3 liter engine were nothing short of spectacular, earning the moniker of “the ultimate laxative” as coined by the folks at Trojan Cars.

THE FASTEST PRODUCTION CAR OF ITS ERA!

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W198) was the first iteration of the SL-Class grand tourer and the. fastest production car of its day. Introduced in 1954 as a two-seat coupe with distinctive gull-wing doors, it was later offered as an open roadster. Built by Daimler-Benz AG, the direct fuel injected production model was based on the company’s highly successful yet somewhat less powerful carbureted overhead camstraight 6 1952 racer, the W194.

A 300 SL coupe with its race-winning heritage and Gullwing doors is the essential anchor to any complete collection of classic Mercedes-Benz cars. Displayed at the New York Auto Show in 1954, the Gullwing prototype became the headliner, attracting more than enough orders to justify production. In its enclosed aerodynamic coupe form, the Le Mans-winning 300 SL could only be entered from the top, requiring the innovative doors that were immediately christened “Gullwing.”  Vehicle courtesy of vintagemotorsports.ca.
