Drive Festival to show Pininfarina Battista at Speed

TORONTO, ON (October 18, 2019) The 1st annual Drive Festival will play host to the $2.5 million Pininfarina Battista on its 1.88 km Dream Car Speed Run. This is the first time that Canadian automotive enthusiasts will have the opportunity to see the Battista hypercar at speed.

The Italian designed Battista will be Automobili Pininfarina’s first pure-electric luxury car when it arrives next year. Electric power facilitates incredible performance targets. The Battista’s 120 kWh battery provides power to four electric motors – one at each wheel – that combine to produce a targeted 1,900 hp and 2,300 Nm (1,696 lb/ft) torque. Faster than a Formula 1 car – the Battista redefines automotive motion and brings a new reality to electric car desirability. No more than 150 editions of the Battista will be hand built by the world’s newest car brand Automobili Pininfarina.

Automobili Pininfarina Design Director Luca Borgogno, designed the Battista to be aesthetically beautiful, unprecedented in its performance and pure in its output, with classic supercar proportions and a 300-mile electric range on a single charge.

“Drive Festival is thrilled to show this automotive masterpiece first-hand along with 120 exclusive manufacturer and private automobiles each day. Our Dream Car Speed Run is an exclusive event celebrating the power and engineering behind car manufacturers on a closed-course hill without speed limits. Static car shows are great, but Drive Festival is taking the publics’ automotive experience to the next level. The Battista is going to be a showstopper!” says Festival Co-Founder, Adam Ruppel.

Drive Festival is changing the way car lovers experience automobiles with four test-tracks, manufacturer displays and a Dream Car Speed Run. Three days of Automotive Nirvana at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, September 11-13, 2020.
